Munster finished sixth in the regular season and whilst it has been an inconsistent campaign, they do come into this game after back-to-back wins to end the season.
They have also won their past two URC quarter-finals, but did suffer a heavy defeat on their last visit to Durban.
The Sharks, meanwhile, finished third in the regular season and have suffered just two defeats at home this campaign, against Toulouse in the Champions Cup and Leinster in the URC.

Sharks v Munster (17:30)
Munster interim boss Ian Costello has again named an unchanged team for his side's trip to Durban.
Jack Crowley is retained at fly-half having overcome a rib injury in recent weeks.
Peter O'Mahony and Stephen Archer are named in the pack in what could be their final game before retirement.
Centre Rory Scannell is set to make his 200th Munster appearance off the bench. Also named among the replacements is former Ireland scrum-half Conor Murray, who will leave the club this summer.
The Sharks, who beat Munster 41-24 in Durban in October, name a team loaded with South Africa internationals, including Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, Ox Nche, Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am.

FT: Leinster 33-21 Scarlets
Leinster captain Jack Conan tells BBC One Wales: "We were good in parts. Discipline killed us a little bit, we gave away a lot of soft penalties. In fairness to the Scarlets, they stuck in it and battled hard, so they’re a team with a lot of ion.
"They pushed us at times, I think we were just a bit inaccurate and forced things. There were some frustrating bits there.
"I think it’s just that lads want to have big moments and feel like they’re doing well. Sometimes, it’s just a bit of overzealousness.
"We gave away some sloppy penalties and were trying a little bit too hard."

Leinster 30-21 Scarlets
A high tackle from Scarlets flanker Vaea Fifita on Leinster full-back Hugo Keenan is checked by Scottish referee Hollie Davidson and the television match official (TMO) Andrew McMenemy.
It is a yellow card rather than a red card with the officials not seeing a high degree of danger.
It is a second sin-binning for Scarlets in the second half.

Leinster will be desperate to win this competition.
They’ve put a lot of their effort into European games. If you look through their squad, hardly any of their players have played double figures in the URC this season.
That’s the difference. The Scarlets are playing up to 20 games and in Europe as well, it counts for a lot at this stage in the season.
Leinster captain Jack Conan leaves the field with a blood injury and is replaced by Max Deegan
Again British and Irish Lions coach Andy Farrell will be hoping that is nothing serious as the Ireland number eight prepares for the trip to Australia this summer.
