Bad light and the threat of rain brings a premature end to a gripping third day's play in the Roses match - lit up by a quite superb century by Lancashire opener Luke Wells.

Yorkshire only manged to add 125 to their overnight 130-4. with Tom Kohler-Core's 125 the top score.

Wells then raced to 100 off 65 balls as he and Keaton Jennings posted their second century stand of the game.

Both eventually dismissed - for 124 and 68 respectively - and Lancashire lead by 224 ahead of the final day's play.
