Man City 1-1 Everton
Pep has done his best to phase out full-backs and that's what you get sometimes. Everton win a corner as we enter stoppage time.

It's very important for Everton to go into half-time at 1-1 after clawing their way back into the game. They need to hold on here.

I like Rico Lewis but we need a new right back. He didn't even know Ndiaye was behind him until the ball was in the net. Very sleepy defending!

Fine defending from Jarrad Branthwaite to clear his lines after Seamus Coleman got himself in a tangle.
Man City 1-1 Everton
Since the start of November, Manchester City have conceded 26 goals in all competitions. In that time, the only side from Europe's big-five leagues to concede more is 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 (28).
Consensus = a good goal.

What a brilliant strike from Ndiaye. It's a great shot across the box. You think he doesn't have enough time, but great players make time. Let him dance in the corner with his teammates.
His touch makes the goal, the finish is immaculate. The first touch makes that goal. If it wasn't good, Rico Lewis was on him

It's easy to criticise Manchester City's defending but take nothing away from that finish from Iliman Ndiaye. It is a special finish.
Look at how quickly he takes the shot. His first touch was spot on and it's an inch-perfect finish. It really punishes City.

City so slow, so boring, so predictable.

What is going on with the Man City defending? They are just static and suddenly don't know how to defend!

It's happening again to Manchester City.
That's why they call him 'Skiliman' Ndiaye on the blue half of Merseyside, a lovely touch and superb finish into the far corner.
That's brought the travelling ers to life while the rest of the stadium are shell-shocked.
Man City 1-1 Everton
It's really some finish that!
Iliman Ndiaye (37 mins)
THAT is outstanding! Not good defending from City as Manuel Akanji makes a mess of clearing a cross from the right and Iliman Ndiaye shows Bernardo Silva how it's done.
One touch to tame the bounce, one to flick an outside-of-the boot swerver across goal and into the far corner.

Bernardo Silva went for it with the outside of his favourite left foot. It's a difficult finish to bend it into the far post.
He's trying to hit a worldie finish there when he really should have just hit the target and made Jordan Pickford work.
Man City 1-0 Everton
The best move of the game and it should be 2-0! Erling Haaland flicks it to Phil Foden, who spots the third-man run from goalscorer Bernardo Silva and plays him in beautifully.
Silva runs onto the ball in the area and tries to hit a swerving, bending first-time effort with the outside of his foot and ends up just bunging it well wide.
Big chance.

Savinho has looked one of the brightest players in this Manchester City side.
He made a good start to the season. He came into the squad as a bit of an unknown quantity but he has nailed down a spot in this team.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin can't keep hold of the ball and Everton's momentum comes to an end. DCL is out of contract at the end of the season - where do we imagine him playing next season?
I could say the same about Pep.
