Most of the possession has been with Brentford so far as expected but there's some defending to do as Colchester cause problems with two long throw-ins.

It will take a bit of time for Sandro Tonali - match fitness is totally different to training fitness.

He might not play the whole game, but it'll be good to see him start. I always believe in people getting a second chance and he needs to grab it with both hands.

He is a good player and I have seen a lot of him in Seria A, he has made a mistake and hopefully he can learn from it - he can produce on the football pitch.

What a save from Vaclav Hladky! He gets down well to palm Daniel Podence's effort wide but Pedro Lima is sprinting towards the ball with the goal in his sights.

Hladky manages to pick himself up off the floor and keep Lima out. Tremendous stuff from the Burnley goalie.

There was a late change for West Ham just before kick-off, with Vladimír Coufal coming in for Aaron Cresswell.

Andrew Irving has been included in the substitutes as a result.

Southampton boss Russell Martin enjoyed his two visits to Cardiff City Stadium with former club Swansea City, winning on both occasions as the Swans' claimed the first ever league doubles between the sides.

But his most recent visit to the Welsh capital at the end of last season was not so memorable as the Saints lost 2-1 to the Bluebirds.

Martin was also soaked twice by the Cardiff City Stadium's sprinklers, although it seems he's kissed and made up, external with the Bluebirds' ground staff before tonight's match!

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game: "It's a good chance, this competition allows us to use the squad and I think the players can deliver.

"Very important [competition] as we need solutions and we need everyone ready.

"We are in a good moment and the players are in a good place. Everyone is working hard and I'm really positive."

First shot on goal for Wolves as Goncalo Guedes fires one towards goal but Shurandy Sambo races back to block well.

Will we see a giant killing tonight?

Premier League outfit Brentford have travelled to Colchester to take on the League Two side who have one win and two defeats from their first three league games of the season.

It puts them 17th in the table, while Brentford beat Crystal Palace, before losing to Liverpool on the weekend.

New gs Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg will start for Brentford as they make a few changes.

Colchester knocked out League One side Reading in the first round and reached the quarter-finals of this competition in 2019-20.

They beat Tottenham on that run - as well as Crystal Palace in a penalty shootout. It eventually ended with a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
