Half an hour in and the Rangers fans have the display they came for. Energy, intensity, some nice football and two goals, the second especially sweet from Vaclav Cerny.
Rangers needed a big performance and so far, they've absolutely delivered.

Tom Lawrence did not catch his goal perfectly but this one is sweet from Cerny.
It's slack from FCSB in the midfield area. Cerny does a wee shuffle then it's an excellent finish into the bottom corner.
The goalkeeper has zero chance with that one.
Vaclav Cerny
A beauty!
Vaclav Cerny pounces on more slack play from the visitors to pinch the ball and curl a fantastic shot into the corner from the edge of the penalty box.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Jack Butland has to look lively to push away a curling shot from Siyabonga Ngezana, with Rangers caught short at the edge of the penalty area when defending a corner.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Cyriel Dessers is a bit slow to react as the ball pings his way. The Rangers striker could have been through there.
Play is so fast and furious, there's no time to lose focus.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on Sportsound
Zero complaints. There is absolutely no need.
He actually put the brakes on, looks like he was about to pull out before lifting his leg.
Tavernier needs to be careful now.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Rangers skipper James Tavernier clatters into FCSB goalkeeper Stefan Tarnovanu with his boot raised quite high.
It's a sore one for the goalie, who was always getting to the ball first.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
It's all a bit hectic as Tom Lawrence concedes a free-kick on the edge of the Rangers penalty area.
Marius Stefanescu gets plenty of power on his shot but it zips a couple of feet over the top of the target.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Tom Lawrence fancies another goal as he bustles his way into the penalty area from a central position but his shot is blocked.

Good energy and intensity from Rangers so far. Even when they've been untidy in possession and lost the ball, their desire to win it back means FCSB don't have the time on the ball they want.
They've seen Scottish football, right? The men all in red won't have anywhere near the time on the ball they're used to, I fancy.
Rangers 0-0 FCSB
Steven Thompson
Former Rangers striker on Sportsound
I don't know what the goalkeeper is doing. He's flapping like a swan at Glen Park there.
He is all over the place.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
This FCSB keeper looks absolutely hopeless as he comes for a corner and misses the ball completely. John Souttar is arriving at the back post but can only find the side-netting.
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
The home fans want a penalty as a low cross from Nedim Bajrami is stopped by the trailing arm of defender Joyskim Dawa.
Nothing doing...
Rangers 1-0 FCSB
Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on Sportsound
Tom Lawrence did not catch that cleanly. The keeper should do better.
Rangers get a bit fortunate. Tavernier forces it inside and Cerny does well. He has the awareness to feed in Lawrence.
You expect him to put his laces through it but he almost chokes it into the ground.
Rangers won't care.
Tom Lawrence
Vaclav Cerny weaves into the penalty area from the right and does well to pick out Tom Lawrence. The Wales midfielder scuffs his shot into the ground but it's very close to the post and the goalkeeper can't keep it out.
Rangers 0-0 FCSB
Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on Sportsound
In slow-motion, it actually is a foul (on Butland for the disallowed goal).
It's an unbelievably good decision.
Rangers 0-0 FCSB
Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin has a blast from 18 yards. It's straight at the keeper, who makes a meal of a ridiculous diving save.
Rangers 0-0 FCSB
Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on Sportsound
I do not think there is a foul there. He gets totally caught in two minds.
Butland takes it onto his weaker side. And he takes a big touch, then another.
That is never a foul.
Rangers winger Vaclav Cerny scored two and assisted another in a standout display
Manager Philippe Clement is demanding his Rangers team "create habits, connections and consistency" after they responded to Sunday's damaging defeat at Kilmarnock with a vibrant four-goal Europa League victory over FCSB.
The Belgian said before the game that it was "not about the reaction, it's about the performance" - but he got both after a week of intense criticism in the Ibrox side's biggest European win since 2007.
Vaclav Cerny teed up Tom Lawrence's opener and netted a classy double in a standout performance, before Hamza Igamane sealed the dominant win with his first goal for the club.
"We were all sick of losing," Clement said. "Everybody was disappointed about Sunday and we wanted to stand up altogether.
"I still see a lot of things we can improve on, but I'm happy everybody can see there's potential in this squad. We need time to connect everything together.
"I'm looking forward to the future with this squad. It's about creating habits, connections and consistency. We're going to work hard on that."
Despite increasing discontent among the fanbase following the weekend's abject loss, a vocal home still provided their full backing in Govan.
They were stunned within minutes of the first whistle, however, when David Miculescu dispossessed a dithering Jack Butland and rolled in what he thought was an opener, but the goalkeeper's blushes were spared as a foul was given by the referee.
It was a moment that could have spooked Clement's men, but they got the goal their high-octane start deserved when questionable goalkeeping allowed Lawrence to squeeze in a curled effort from the edge of the box.
And it was 2-0 just after the half-hour mark when Cerny won possession in the final third before bending a fine strike into the far corner with his weaker right foot.
On-loan Wolfsburg winger Cerny added his second and Rangers' third after the break when a sweeping counter-attack ended with the Czech forward dipping the shoulder and rolling in a composed finish.
Then there was time for substitute Igamane to open his Rangers when he dragged one into the far corner after a couple of stepovers.
FCSB, the fifth-placed side in Romania's top flight, tested Butland through Siyabonga Ngezana in the first half with the score at 1-0, but they were simply overwhelmed for the majority of the contest.
A potential knee injury for midfielder Lawrence, who was substituted at the break, plus second-half issues for Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun, were the only real negatives for Clement, whose side sit 11th in the 36-team table.
Midfielder Nico Raskin and defender Balogun returned to the Rangers side at the expense of Mohamed Diomande and Robin Propper, who struggled at Rugby Park on Sunday.
The double switch proved to be a shrewd call as the intensity of Raskin, who ex-Rangers winger Neil McCann described as a "man possessed" on BBC Sportsound, was integral to the home side's full-throttle start.
It is perhaps a concern that 36-year-old Balogun is arguably Clement's most accomplished centre-back, but the Nigerian was an assured presence in the hosts' backline before he was brought off in the second period.
Meanwhile, a lack of consistency from Cerny has been a source of criticism, but the winger's performance highlighted again that he is capable of lighting up games.
Igamane, who ed seven more touches than Dessers despite replacing the striker in the 57th minute, showed he can be a valuable attacking option if he can get some rhythm.
There are tougher European tests to come for Rangers in their remaining five league phase games, but six points from three matches gives them a decent foundation to build on.
'Everybody can see there's potential in this squad' - Clement
Rangers manager Philippe Clement: "It’s about creating this more consistently. I'd have loved points against Lyon, but I think we're on track in Europe.
"[Cerny] has all my confidence. He's not only a really good player but someone who is working hard for the team. I want to see more and moreover the next weeks.
"We need to create much more hunger to get better and better."
Rangers captain James Tavernier: "It's obviously important to get the reaction after the weekend. A performance to build on.
"I thought Connor [Barron] and Nicolas [Raskin] were really strong in midfield. They controlled the tempo in there and that pushed us up as a team.
"Vaclav [Cerny] coming inside and getting a couple of goals, I'm really happy for him."
This was the first time Rangers have won a major European match by four goals since beating Hapoel Tel Aviv 4-0 in the Uefa Cup in February 2007.
FCSB have now lost each of their last eight matches against UK opposition (including qualifiers) by a combined scoreline of 24-2, conceding three or more goals in six of those eight matches.
Cerny became only the second Rangers player to have a hand in three or more goals in a single Europa League match (two goals, one assist) and the first since Alfredo Morelos (v Royal Antwerp) in February 2021.
Rangers attempted 15 shots in the first half, which is the most they have ever managed in the opening 45 minutes of a Europa League match.
James Tavernier made his 54th appearance in major European competition for Rangers, moving him level with Steven Davis. Only Allan McGregor (78), John Greig (62) and Barry Ferguson (60) have made more.
After netting one goal across his first six European matches for Rangers, Lawrence has now scored in back-to-back games (v FCSB and Lyon). All three of those goals have come in the opening 15 minutes of matches.

UEFA Europa League
All competitions
Rangers are unbeaten in three previous home meetings with FCSB in European competition (W2 D1), most recently drawing 1-1 at Ibrox in the 1995-96 UEFA Champions League group stage.
FCSB have only lost one of their last four games against Rangers in all competitions (W2 D1) while they have won their last two such meetings with Scottish sides, beating Motherwell twice in qualifying for the 2009-10 UEFA Europa League.
Including qualifiers, Rangers have lost their last three home European matches – they’ve never lost four in a row at Ibrox in their history.
FCSB have won both of their UEFA Europa League games so far this season. There have been four previous occasions they’ve won their first three in a major European campaign – the 1989-90 European Cup, the 1999-00 and 2005-06 UEFA Cup, and the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League.
Despite facing the sixth highest number of shots in the UEFA Europa League this season (38), FCSB have conceded just one goal so far.
