Charlton are unbeaten in seven league matches at home - and have conceded just two goals during that run
Upwardly-mobile Charlton ed a fourth win in five League One games with a home victory against Stevenage.
Goals from Matty Godden and Luke Berry either side of half-time extended the Addicks' unbeaten home run to seven matches and moved them up to sixth before the 15:00 GMT kick-offs.
Stevenage were the better side in the opening exchanges and Charlton goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer had to race out to foil Louis Appere, who attempted to go around him.
Jamie Reid also drilled into the side-netting from a tight angle for Stevenage, who had won their past three games coming into the contest.
The Addicks had struggled to fashion chances but they went ahead one minute before half-time.
Summer g Godden started the attack with a deft flick to Tyreece Campbell and he finished it by converting Conor Coventry's low cross at the near post for his 12th goal of the campaign.
And the hosts added a second in the 49th minute. Campbell's left-footed attempt came back off the left post and Berry calmly converted the rebound.
Charlton, who are unbeaten in five games in the league, dominated the rest of the game but were unable to add to their lead.
