How will Liverpool celebrate winning the Premier League?

The final weekend of the Premier League season will be one of celebrations for Liverpool and their fans after the Reds claimed their 20th English top-flight title.

The party will begin on Friday, 23 May at the LFC Foundation's gala, where funds will be raised to the club's charity.

Former manager - and LFC Foundation honorary ambassador - Jurgen Klopp will be in attendance alongside club legends.

Liverpool then face Crystal Palace at home on Sunday, 25 May - their last match of a successful debut campaign for manager Arne Slot.

After the match, the Reds will lift the Premier League trophy surrounded by fans - a contrast to the 2020 trophy ceremony, which was held behind closed doors because of lockdown regulations.

The trophy will be presented to the team by Liverpool legend Alan Hansen, who will make his Anfield return after recovering from a battle with ill health which saw him hospitalised last year.

That evening, the players are set to enjoy a private party at a nightclub in Liverpool.

The following day, they will embark on a victory parade from 14:30 BST.

"A Liverpool victory parade is more than football - it's a celebration of our city's pride, ion and community spirit," said Cllr Liam Robinson, leader of Liverpool City Council.

The parade will follow the same route as celebrations in 2019 and 2022.

It will start on Mather Avenue and follow a 15km route from the southern suburbs to the city centre.

The bus will travel along Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street and The Strand and finish on Blundell Street.

The parade is expected to last 3-5 hours, but is subject to change.

The club will pay for the full cost of the parade.

Liverpool won the Premier League in 2020, after a 30-year long wait for a league title.

Celebrations, however, were scaled back because of lockdown regulations.

The Reds lifted the trophy in middle of The Kop - in front of a near-empty stadium - with just their family and friends, and staff in attendance.

Seats, instead of being filled with dedicated fans, were adorned with flags.
