He's steadily up to 16 and takes Durham past 200, with five wickets down.

Colin Ackermann continues to tick along and takes Ahmed for a 13th four.

The South African-born batter moves within 12 of a century.

It feels like a slow second session at Chelmsford but Essex have still added 71 runs since the interval for the loss of Tom Westley.

Jordan Clark goes past the outside edge of Jordan Cox's bat who has made 23 from 49 balls which is pretty conservative for him.

It's Colin Ackermann's 34th birthday today. He's on 80. He's just been bowled by Lyndon James but the bails didn't fall off so he's still out there.

I think he should buy a lottery ticket as well.

There were plenty of celebrations from the Notts players but Ackermann stayed in his crease and eventually the penny dropped.

Colin Ackermann picks up a 12th four of his innings, this time off Lyndon James, to move to 80.

James sneaks one past Ackermann's defences and clips the off-stump. The Notts all-rounder is dancing down the wicket but then realises that, somehow, both bails remains in their groove.

The umpire walks down and lifts up the offending bail to prove that superglue has not been applied. How's your luck?

Kasey Aldridge was the star of the show and really set the ball rolling, with five wickets in quick succession.

Ryan Higgins is warming to his task at Lord's, with a boundary in each of the last two overs from Will Williams and Tom Bailey.

Higgins and Leus du Plooy have shown they are capable of heavy scoring in the past and Lancashire will want to break this partnership quickly.
