Ostrich roaming the streets in India's Kerala goes viral

A video showing an ostrich roaming the streets of the southern Indian state of Kerala went viral on social media over the weekend.

The footage, recorded on 20 May, showed the bird navigating a street in Kochi city.

An eyewitness, who recorded the video, told the BBC that the ostrich belonged to his neighbour, who owns a farm nearby.

He said it was captured soon after it escaped, and taken back to the farm.

Ostrich farming is legal in Kerala and can be a profitable business for some.
