Krystian Bielik made 17 appearances for Derby County last season
Birmingham City have signed centre-back Krystian Bielik on a season-long loan from League One side Derby County.
Bielik previously played for Blues on loan from Arsenal under Gianfranco Zola in 2017 when he made 10 appearances.
The 24-year-old Poland international went on to sign for the Rams from Arsenal in 2019, making 49 appearances.
"I am happy to be back. I had a great time here," he said. "I want to play as many games as I can. I hope it's a good season and we achieve something nice."
Bielik turned out 17 times for Derby last season as they were relegated from the Championship, scoring against Blues in their 2-2 draw on 30 January, when he scored on his first appearance after exactly a year out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
He is the fifth summer g for new Blues boss John Eustace following the return of defender Dion Sanderson on loan from Wolves, Norwich City loan winger Przemyslaw Placheta, ex-Everton, Norwich and Wolves keeper John Ruddy and on-loan Arsenal centre-back Auston Trusty.
