Jim McIntyre has signed a one-year rolling contract at Cove Rangers
Jim McIntyre its he questioned whether he would get back into management before being appointed Cove Rangers boss on a rolling one-year contract.
The 50-year-old former Dundee and Ross County manager replaces Paul Hartley, who has ed Hartlepool United.
McIntyre, who won the League Cup with County, left last club Dundee in 2019.
The opportunity to Scottish Championship newcomers Cove was "too good to turn down," McIntyre said.
"It is something I was really interested in and I am delighted they feel I can do the job.
"There were jobs I went for and lost out to - and that is just the way it is. I decided to go and retrain and started my own personal training business. That has been going really well and you do realise there is a life outside football as well.
"Probably in the second year I was at that stage where I was like, 'am I ever going to get back in">
