  • Published

Dunfermline Athletic moved two points closer to Hearts at the top of the Scottish Championship after a hard-fought win over Alloa Athletic.

On-loan striker Craig Wighton made the difference, scoring in each half to move to Fifers within 11 points of the summit with a game in hand.

Kevin Cawley had levelled for Alloa before the break, but Peter Grant's side could not equalise a second time.

The Clackmannanshire side remain bottom of the division, five points adrift.
