Russell Griffiths is yet to make a first-team appearance for Everton

Cheltenham Town have signed Everton and England Under-20 goalkeeper Russell Griffiths on loan until 2 January.

Griffiths, 20, spent 2015-16 on loan at National League side Halifax before g an extended deal at Everton.

He is eligible to play in Cheltenham's first game of the League Two season at home against Leyton Orient on 6 August.

Manager Gary Johnson, who previously said he wanted a new defender and keeper, signed versatile Aston Villa defender Easah Suliman on Thursday.
