My family home was taken for a road that wasn’t built

Martin Beal had to give up a farmhouse his family had lived in since 1904.

The former owners of properties bought as part of a cancelled road scheme in Northumberland say they are being “left to rot”.

BBC journalist, Jo Lonsdale, has been to meet some of those affected, including Martin Beal who had to give up a farmhouse his family had lived in since 1904.
