She spent many of her formative years in Derbyshire and helped with the design of the Derbyshire infirmary to make it as sanitary as possible.

Laura Phillips, Head of Curation at Derby Museums and Victoria Sweetmore, a nursing historian at the University of Derby go through her life’s work with BBC Radio Derby’s Becky Measures.
