Scott's live from the RHS Chelsea Flower show with Jo Whiley, officially opening the gates at the Radio 2 Dog Garden.
With the UK renowned as a nation of dog lovers and garden enthusiasts, the RHS and Radio 2 have ed forces with horticultural legend Monty Don, who has designed this garden which is his very first garden for Chelsea Flower Show. Known for his beloved dogs, including Ned who regularly appears on Gardeners’ World, he has created the space with man’s best friend in mind, to lift people’s spirits and celebrate our deep love of dogs and the gardens we share with them.
Scott is bringing along his dog, Teddy, and will be ed by fellow Radio 2 presenter and gardening enthusiast, Jo Whiley. They’ll be chatting to Monty Don, plant expert and co-garden designer, Jamie Butterworth, and a whole host of famous faces and their pooches.
There’s been stiff competition for which of the Radio 2 presenters’ dog will get to Scott and Jo at Chelsea, but after a hard fought campaign they’ll welcome Pick of the Pups champion Chilli Davies to the garden. He’ll be sniffing out all areas of the garden with his owner, Gary Davies.
We'll stop for Paws For Thought and there’ll be a special Woof Morning Minute, for dogs featured in the garden’s Dog House. Plus there’ll be all the regular Breakfast Show fun, including the Easiest Quiz On The Radio.
