Petroc Trelawny presents live from the 2025 Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert from the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. The concert marks the beginning of a special year of celebration commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss II. A selection of the composer’s most popular works is performed along with pieces by other of the famous Strauss dynasty and their contemporaries.
With a message of hope, friendship and peace, the orchestra is directed by guest conductor Riccardo Muti in an array of polkas, waltzes and gallops. As always, the concert ends with the ever-popular By the Beautiful Blue Danube and the foot-stamping Radetzky March.
