Alfie ends up agreeing to another of Derek's business deals, Fat Boy showers Whitney with Valentine's gifts, and Lucy decides to give Tyler a taste of his own medicine.
Whitney feels suffocated when Fatboy bombards her with Valentine’s presents while Lucy is put out when Whitney is the one who persuades Lauren to come out. Whitney cringes at Fatboy’s shout-outs as Tyler busies himself with numerous girls. Lucy tells Tyler that Fatboy is about to propose, prompting him to corner Whitney and confess his feelings for her. Whitney tells him it’s too late as Fatboy announces he’s booked them a holiday to Paris. Angry at being manipulated by Lucy, Tyler tries it on with Amira but is overheard by Anthony who throws a punch at his brother.
Returning from visiting Kat with Shenice, Ray informs Alfie about the copper wire. Alfie asks Derek to remove it but Derek tempts him with a booze related tax scam. Alfie is further intrigued when Jean explains the Vics financial problems but tells Derek it’s too risky following a police raid. Derek persuades Alfie to change his mind but when Roxy and Michael find out they warn him; Michael’s bruises displaying what Derek is capable of.
Heather cancels her night-out with Shirley after Andrew apologizes but acts distracted on their date. Dot reminds Andrew that every day is special, not just valentines causing him to tell Heather to go and be with Shirley as long as she’s home by midnight. After they get hammered and end up asleep on Shirley’s sofa, Heather remains unaware of the romantic meal Andrew has prepared.
Max and Tanya spend Valentines at home, both aware of the tension between them. Tanya heads to bed alone, saying goodnight with a kiss on the cheek.
Lauren gets hammered at the R&R after Derek offers her money, telling her if only she knew what Max was like at her age.
Patrick and Dot raise a toast to Jim and Pat.
