The day of Darren and Jodie's dream wedding dawns, but will they make it down the aisle? Syed is furious to discover that Zainab has been hiding Amira's details.
Jodie’s determined that the wedding’s going ahead. Quietly menacing, Vanessa confronts Darren; he’s proven he’s just like Harry and Max. En route to the church, Darren stops the car. Finding Jodie, he says he can’t go through with the wedding. Darren gives Heather money, and insists having George with her was the best thing that ever happened to him. After an emotional goodbye with Tamwar, Darren visits Jodie, who slaps him. Darren explains he loves her but doesn’t want to be like her dad. He’s adamant he’ll be back and urges Jodie to find someone else so he’s got something to fight for. Still in her wedding dress, Jodie watches as Darren drives away.
Tanya offers to give Abi a pampering session but then falls asleep, tired and in pain. Abi, Lola and Ben make prank calls to Grace and destroy her hanging baskets. Grace cries and, feeling guilty, Abi goes to her. Lola tries to take the blame for the prank. Tanya’s angry when Abi’s brought home by a policeman. Lauren’s mocking, Tanya can’t blame them for their behaviour – they’re products of a broken home. The girls worry when Tanya gives up and uncharacteristically tells them to do what they want. Later, Lauren accuses Tanya of having a secret affair. Tanya blurts out she’s ill.
Yusef gives Christian a catalogue. Inside, Syed and Christian discover Amira’s number. Syed phones it, Qadim answers and claims Amira moved out two weeks ago. Syed confronts Zainab, she can’t understand how he’s got the number. Zainab offers to cook Yusef dinner, but later asks him to leave her alone after Leonard Graham, who she met at Yusef’s drinks reception, calls her Mrs Khan in front of Denise.
Faith stumbles home drunk and, fed up, Grace slaps her.
