Shirley and Heather discover some uncomfortable truths about Ben - can Shirley convince Phil to reconnect with Ben before it is too late?
Ben has spent the night at Ian’s, and swears he’s never coming home. Frustrated, Phil tells him to grow up and storms out. Heather and Shirley are concerned when they read ‘Kevin68’s emails about the bullying he suffered at school. Heather realises Ben just needed someone to talk to, and forgives him. Later, Jay discovers Ben leaving; he’s staying with Peggy and isn’t coming back. Jay tries to stop him, but Ben can’t stay here with Phil. They bid goodbye as brothers. Shirley convinces Phil to put aside their differences, Ben’s still his son. They hurry to the station to catch Ben but are too late.
Ian and Jane snipe at each other. Ian’s delighted when Alfie asks him to be Godfather to Tommy. At the boxing, Phil punches Ian when he criticises his parenting skills. Jane gets drunk with Tanya, and flirts with Fatboy, but is later mortified she’s been flirting with a teenager. She’s comforted by Masood.
Mercy’s jealous when Fatboy flirts with Jane. Jane thinks the wedding’s a sham, but Fatboy insists he loves Mercy.
Michael and Max drag Jack to the fight night at the Boxing club. Jack knocks Rainie back when she tries to flirt with him.
Roxy visits Ronnie in prison and pleads with her to accept bail. She notices red marks on Ronnie’s arms. Ronnie’s scared of people’s reaction and initially refuses, but later calls Roxy; she’s changed her mind and set up a bail hearing.
Masood drags Tamwar to the Fight night. Yusef tells him that Denise is merely a distraction, he’s just biding his time. Masood’s furious and confides in Jane, who tells him she loves him. Masood says he does love her but they can’t be together, he has to put his family first. Ian tells Yusef about Jane and Masood’s affair.
