'All systems go' for work on new Manx cancer centre
Work on a new cancer centre on the Isle of Man is “all systems go”, the president of the charity being the project has said.
A ceremonial "cutting of the sod" for the new Mannin Cancers Macmillan Centre marked the start of its construction on Wednesday.
David Gawne from the Mannin Cancers Group said the £2m hub would provide and information to people following a diagnosis.
The facility, set to be built opposite the entrance to Noble's Hospital, is expected to open by Easter 2025.
