Driver fined after McDonald's bag thrown from car

A driver has been fined £150 after one of their engers dropped fast food packaging out of a car.
Cornwall Council said the littering offence was captured on CCTV and took place in Bugle near St Austell.
The footage showed a enger getting out of the car and a McDonald's bag and McFlurry cup being dropped out of the open door before the enger kicked the litter and got back in, the authority said.
The council said the ed keeper of the car received a £150 fixed penalty notice.

The council said the driver could not who the engers were when asked for details.
The law states if a local authority can prove litter was dumped from a vehicle, a penalty notice can be issued to the ed keeper of the car, even if someone else discarded the rubbish.
Councillor Martyn Alvey, portfolio holder for environment, said: "We will not tolerate littering of any kind and I hope this sets an example to others.
"Please put your rubbish in the bin or take it home with you. Cornwall is a beautiful part of the world and we want to keep it that way."
