Jahawi meets endangered humpback dolphins

Jahawi is a wildlife filmmaker, a National Geographic Society Explorer, photographer and music producer from Kenya. Today, he's showing us the endangered humpback dolphins, the Kinyika dolphins that he lives with and what he's doing to make sure they're all protected!

"Swimming alongside them, they're like our family. Protecting them is so important."

In this mission, Jahawi takes us on a journey to meet the Kinyika dolphins and shows us the the work he's doing to protect them.

By working with the Kenyan Marine Mammal Network, Jahawi and his wife Elke are hoping to get the area protected as a marine reserve, which will provide a safe space for the dolphins to live.

You can watch the whole series of Planet Defenders featuring Jahawi and a team of young conservationists as they set out to protect our planet and its amazing wildlife on iPlayer right now!
