Stay Wary of ATM Fraud

It's important to remain alert of your surroundings and the machine itself when withdrawing money from a cashpoint. If you feel unsure or uneasy when using an ATM, trust your instincts and find another machine.

If you believe your bank details have been compromised, call your bank and let it know immediately. You can do this by dialling 159 or by calling the helpline on the back of your banking card.

Once you have spoken to your bank, report the incident to the police.
Most UK banks allow you to freeze your card through their mobile apps to prevent criminals making withdrawals and purchases with a stolen debit or credit card.
